In the past year we have watched hay prices go from $11 a bale to $14 a bale. We go through 2,190 bales a year to feed the babies. That is a total of $30,660.00 per year just in hay. Our goal for 2022 is to get the entire year supply by spring of 2022 so we can keep the price locked in.
We have it set up so you can donate $14 for one bale of hay towards our goal or multiple bales. Every bale counts!!!
273 of 2,190 Bales / $3,822.00 of $30,660.00 raised so far! (Updated Dec. 14th, 2021)
Kortney Reese is the animal caregiver we are spotlighting for the month of July. She is a super sweet and friendly person, who has a huge heart for all the animals that she comes to the ranch and cares for each week. Kortney works hard all during the week and then she comes early each Saturday morning to spend time with the animals feeding, giving them fresh water, cleaning up after them and making sure they receive pets, kisses and cuddles.
Kortney started volunteering with us here at the ranch on August 15, 2020. She began by learning how to clean and refill the waters for the animals and also clean up
For the month of July our spotlight is on a very, cool, cute and hip lady. It’s hard to find the right words to do her justice. She has one of the most compassionate hearts for both animals and humans. Her sensitivity to the needs of others is incredibly seamless. She has a calm and loving spirit that is peaceful to be around. She is an easy person to get along with and talk to. Humans and animals are drawn to her kind and mellow energy. If you are one of the humans or animals lucky enough to know Carrie, then you are very fortunate.
